The HealthTool enables users to analyse health data from the apple health data export. This data is collected by Apple devices like iPhones or Apple watches. The user may export his data from his devices (see the Apple documentation for further information).
In the tool, users may inspect the data they exported from their devices and select a subset to contribute it to our database that we collect on our nextcloud server (the upload can be done here). The files created by using our tool will not contain any information anymore which may lead to the identification of the user.
With the collected data we wish to conduct research in the fields of anonymization and pseudonymization. We are especially interested in how difficult it is to identify one data set for instance by merely looking at its step count data. Please be aware that we will never be able to identify the person who contributed the data set but just the data set itself.
